A Little Surprise brings the old age elegance and harmony back to the art of dance.

Our mission here is to not only teach routines but the reason behind the movements. Each of the dance styles we teach has great history and stories behind their creation. Gaining appreciation for the dance will allow for smother softer more accurate performances that are full of emotion and will leave their audience captivated.

The Art of Ballet
Ballet is a slow, graceful style of dance, and is the foundation for all dance styles. It is learned through repetitive movement at the barre, across the floor, and in the centre. Like other dance forms, Ballet may tell a story, express a mood, or simply reflect the music. Ballet dancers are able to express many emotions, such as anger, fear, jealousy, joy, and sadness. The lines of the dancers' bodies form beautiful, harmonious designs. Ballet technique is called classical because it stresses this purity and harmony of design.

The Art of Tap
Tap is making rhythmic sounds with your feet. It can be traditional Broadway style or a funky Hip-hop inspired style of Tap. Tap is a style of dance in which a dancer wearing shoes fitted with heel and toe “taps” create sounds by rhythmically striking the floor. Tap dancing has a very rich and long history. It was birthed through combining several ethnic percussive dances, such as African Tribal, Scottish, Irish and English Clog. Tap dancers will learn how to control their rhythm, timing, speed, coordination and creative foot movements.

The Art of Jazz
Jazz is a technical, stylized type of dance, which incorporated tricks, such as kicks, leaps, and turns. Technique is the foundation for all dance movement. Having a strong technical foundation will allow a dancer to focus on the stylistic and performance aspects of dance. Technique is beneficial for jumps and turns where correct posture is necessary to properly complete the jump and/ or turn.

Cheerleading
Cheerleading incorporates cheers, kicks, toe touches, ripples, and sharp motions. Cheerleading is a sport that uses organized routines made from elements of some tumbling, dance, and jumps to direct the event's spectators to cheer on sports teams at games and matches. The class with help your child prep for Cheerleading teams that he or she may want to try out for in the future.

Hip-Hop
Hip-hop is a street style of dance that can either be fast and full of high energy of slower with a beat driven groove. This type of dance is usually seen in music videos and commercials. Hip-hop is both a cultural movement and a genre of music developed in New York City in the 1970s, now the lifestyle of Hip-hop culture has today spread around the world.

The Art of Praise Dance
Praise dancing is accepted by the Christian community as a means of worshiping God. Biblical Scriptures mention numerous times when dancing was used to express one’s feelings to God.

Praise and worship dance or sometimes called biblical dance, styles include modern, ballet, lyrical, and hip hop. Dances range from the spontaneity of one person, to choreographed dances with numerous participants. Oftentimes streamers, flags, banners, and tambourines are utilized to further express one’s praise.

A dance is formed by the emotional movements of praise. Dance routines capture the feelings of the dancer, whether it is with a sad face and slow movements or a smile with quick gestures. The audience and the dancers alike will feel a rise of emotion as their bodies sing unto the Lord. Often times sign language is used to further express ones feelings.

Praise dancing is often accompanied by music, but dancers may also dance to poetry.

Martial Arts
Martial Arts is a form of self defense. It is primarily a striking art using punching, kicking, knee, and elbow strikes. Martial Arts emphasis on exercise, leadership, and competition. Martial Arts is recommended for building character, self confidence and discipline.

Amazing Athletes provides a unique tried and tested fun filled sport program that incorporates physical fitness, muscle tone, and gross motor skills while learning and playing the following sports; Baseball, Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Hockey, Football, Athletics, and Golf.
